PPC Adventure Programs - Merit Badge Classes

Each class will have a merit badge counselor that will guide scouts through the merit badge to completion. Some classes require the Scout to follow up with the Merit Badge counselor after the class has concluded.

REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Select the number of youth you are registering and then click on the green "Register" button.

Enter the PARENT information in the REGISTRATION CONTACT section, and the SCOUT'S information in the the Scouts BSA Youth section.

Select the Check Out Now tab, and complete payment for the course.

Chess #2

Saturday, October 24, 2026 from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM

Scouts will not be able to complete all requirement for this merit badge.

Cost: $20 per youth - pizza and soft drink included.

Registration is limited to 40 scouts.

This will be at the PPC Service Center, 1 Saddle Road, Cedar Knolls, NJ.

PPC 4th Annual Chess Tournament

Saturday, November 21st from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Cost: $20.00 per youth.

Lunch (pizza and soft drink) included.

Trophies awarded to top 3 finishers.

Registration limited to 32 scouts.

This will be at the PPC Service Center, 1 Saddle Road, Cedar Knolls, NJ.

All equipment will be provided, instructions on chess clocks will be given. Each player will be given 20 minutes on the chess clock, so the maximum time a game could take is 40 minutes. These are unrated chess games. You can expect your chess player to play 3-5 games of chess. Chess notation is not required for the tournament.

Scouts will need a personal laptop to participate in this merit badge activity.

Cost: $30 per youth.
